Post-Doctoral Researcher

I am a post-doc researcher belonging to the PalMA group, at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. My work is focused on the millennial-scale variability of the climate system. My main research interests lie on:

  • Understanding the driving processes that determine the occurrence of Heinrich Events
  • The role of the oceanic variability on the iceberg (and land ice) discharges of the Northern Hemisphere ice sheets during the Last Glacial Period
  • The triggering mechanism of abrupt climate changes. Specially concerning the so-called Dansgaard-Oeschger Events taht seem to involve strong changes in the large-scale oceanic circulation
